Experts meet at Yunnan University international conference

The school of government and management at Yunnan University located in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, recently held an international academic conference on "globalization and reverse globalization: problems and countermeasures facing emergency management of international cooperation".

The event aimed to boost academic research to help bolster internationalization.

The meeting invited Lavinia Fratila, an international negotiation and senior risk management expert at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and Florin Botonogu, an international consultant with the World Bank.

Also invited – and giving keynote speeches – were George Tzogopoulos, director of the European Information International Center; Narong Kiettikunwong, associate professor of the School of Local Administration at Khon Kaen University in Thailand, and Sereyvath Ky, director of the Institute of Chinese Studies at the Royal Academy of Cambodia.

Participating experts pointed out that international cooperation and exchanges that looked at emergency management had a strong practical value, leading to the issuing of important academic papers and publications, among other things.

The conference was an active exploration by Yunnan University to further promote internationalization.
