Military training at Yunnan University ends

Yunnan University's 2022 Undergraduate Military Skills Training Summary Conference was held on the university's Chenggong Campus on July 21, and the following 14-day military training has now come to an end.

At the summary conference, the instructors of the People's Liberation Army and National Defense Reserve Company performed bayonet charge exercises, military boxing, and tactical action demonstrations.

Kuang Song, head of the military training regiment, and Zhang Yue, director of the Student Affairs Department of Yunnan University, both gave concluding speeches. The summary conference also announced the list of outstanding military trainees, outstanding instructors, and outstanding national defense reserve company instructors.

This military training is the first time that Yunnan University has gathered students from two campuses and two grades. A total of 8,063 students from 23 colleges participated, the most in the history of the university.

This military training is also the first time for the Rocket Army Troop to undertake training at Yunnan University, as well as the first time for active-duty troops to jointly undertake military training tasks with retired college students.

The participating students successfully completed the training in 13 subjects such as queue action, simulated shooting, and tactical action. During the training period, students also learned to sing military and school songs and participated in a variety of Party activities.
