The ninth Overseas Chinese Contribution Awards recently came to an end, and Professor Yang Yun from the School of Software of Yunnan University won second place.
The Overseas Chinese Contribution Award was established by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese in 2003. It is an award for innovation and entrepreneurship among overseas Chinese, aiming to promote patriotic spirit among overseas Chinese talent and promote their innovation and development achievements.
This year's event awarded a total of 128 people nationwide, including 52 first prizes and 76 second prizes. Yang was the only winner from Yunnan province.
Most of the winners this year are at the pinnacle of scientific research, actively promoted scientific and technological innovation, technological breakthroughs, discipline construction, talent training and the development of high-tech industries, and made important contributions to scientific research, diagnosis and treatment in the fight against COVID-19.
