Updated: Aug 9, 2022

A team of experts from Yunnan University went to Heqing county in Southwest China's Yunnan province to conduct the large-scale "Yunnan Rural Survey" on Aug 1-2 and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the local government.

It has been reported that the "Yunnan Rural Survey" is based on the unity and progress of ethnic groups and economic and social development in Yunnan's rural areas. It takes counties as its research objects and adopts a mixed survey and research model. It plans to complete qualitative surveys of 25 counties, 150 administrative villages and 450 natural villages in Yunnan province.

The purpose of the survey is to systematically explore and summarize experiences in rural epidemic prevention and control, rural vitalization, and ethnic groups and progress demonstration area construction in Yunnan to serve and integrate into the national development strategy.

On the afternoon of Aug 1, Heqing county held a symposium attended by experts from Yunnan University. The relevant person in charge of the county explained the economic and social development of Heqing county and its typical rural vitalization experiences.

During the survey, the expert team conducted field investigations in the county's planning exhibition hall, Yinhe village's Yinhe cultural space, a teaching practice base, and an inheritance exhibition center.
