Yunnan University sponsors intl symposium on building material technology

The second "Science Bridge" International Symposium on High-performance Green Building Materials Technology, jointly sponsored by University College London and Yunnan University, was held in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, From Aug 5 to 8.

The purpose of the seminar is to implement the actions of the major national dual-carbon strategy, help realize the development of high-performance green building materials, and promote the practical application of traditional building materials in green and low-carbon ways.

The seminar was attended by many scholars, teachers and students from the United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand, Singapore, China and other countries and regions.

A total of 32 experts and scholars from home and abroad made keynote reports. Colum McMague from the MPA of the British Minerals Association, Alalea Kia from Imperial College of Technology in the United Kingdom, Lei Lei from Technical University of Munich in Germany and other foreign experts were specially invited to give special lectures.

Through a series of academic reports and forums, the event promotes exchanges and cooperation among universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises and the industrial development and technological progress of enterprises and contributes to the innovation and development of green building materials.
