YNU students achieve 7 awards in national financial event

The eighth "Oriental Fortune Cup" National College Student Financial Challenge hosted by the Youth Development Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League recently came to an end, and students from Yunnan University performed well.

A total of 2,550 colleges and universities participated in the competition, with over 610,000 undergraduates participating. Among them, 47 teams from Yunnan University qualified for the national competition.

After fierce competition, two teams from the university won the first prize, two teams won the second prize, and three teams won the third prize – the university's best performance in the competition to date.

This competition is a major financial professional competition promoted by Yunnan University. It allows students to consolidate their basic financial knowledge, strengthen their financial security awareness, and improve their rational investment ability in a real stock simulated trading environment.

Since the registration of the university-level competition was launched in March this year, Yunnan University has invited experts in finance-related fields to carry out special training for students, with a total of more than 1,500 participants. This competition and related training will help all students in the university improve their financial literacy and employment and entrepreneurship quality.
