YNU selected as national innovation, entrepreneurship college

For the first time this year, the Ministry of Education selected 100 innovation and entrepreneurship colleges and 100 innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases for key construction in universities across the country. Yunnan University (YNU) was selected as part of the first batch of national innovation and entrepreneurship colleges.

Over the years, Yunnan University has continuously deepened the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education by focusing on Yunnan's development orientation and the university's academic and professional strengths.

After years of exploration and practice, Yunnan University has formed a full-chain innovation and entrepreneurship education system integrating course teaching, teacher development, project driving, competition training, cultural infiltration, base practice, platform incubation, and incentive guarantees.

In 2022, according to statistics from PKU Jade Bird Boya Education, a school-run enterprise of Peking University, Yunnan University ranked 43rd among colleges and universities nationwide.

In recent years, Yunnan University has successively earned more than 60 national and provincial honors, such as being part of the first batch of demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in China, and has been reported on more than 240 times in mainstream media such as People's Daily and China Central Television.

The achievements and experience have been extended to some colleges and universities across the country, and more than 50 domestic colleges and universities have come to study and exchange.

Next, the university will continue to promote cooperation and exchanges between the university and the government, enterprises, universities, and research institutes. Relying on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Sub-Committee of S&SE ASIAN UN, it will also promote international cooperation and exchanges.
