The 2022 Donglu International Young Scholars Forum of Yunnan University (YNU) was held on its Chenggong campus on Sept 16, attracting more than 500 outstanding young scholars from internationally renowned universities and research institutions to learn about Yunnan University's talent introduction policy and talent work environment online.
At the opening ceremony, Wu Jiande, vice president of Yunnan University, said that the university will further accelerate the construction of an important talent center and innovation hub for South and Southeast Asia, further cultivate talents and create new talent hub, and further strengthen the reserve of young talent.
Chen Dahua, a leading talent representative of the Institute of Biomedicine of Yunnan University, Li Bo, professor of the School of Ecology and Environment, Huang Binquan, a young talent representative and researcher of the Institute of Resources and Plants, and Chen Shanshan, professor of the School of Ecology and Environment, shared their original reasons for choosing to work at Yunnan University and experiences after working and living there.
After the opening ceremony, various teaching and scientific research units will organize sub-forum activities from Sept 16 to 26. Participating young scholars will conduct academic discussions on the goal of developing Yunnan University into first-class university and international academic frontier issues through online meetings.
