Yunnan University provides practical education platform for students

In recent years, Yunnan University has made great efforts to build a platform, integrate resources and build a long-term cooperation mechanism for practical education.

This summer vacation, the university mobilized more than 9000 students to carry out social observation and research focused on poverty alleviation, rural vitalization, national unity construction, cultural and artistic inheritance and other topics.

Yunnan University has paid attention to building a practice brand project, and continuously participated in activities such as the Chinese and foreign college students' practice exchange week, and promoting the "double reduction" policy (reducing the burden of homework and off-campus training for students in compulsory education) published by the Ministry of Education for rural vitalization.

At the same time, the university has striven to create various school brand practice activities, such as "research on the development and utilization of red resources" of the College of Vocational and Continuing Education, and "visiting the De'ang Mountain to boost the new journey of rural vitalization" of the College of Physical Education.

In addition, 37 undergraduate, master and doctoral students from the university in the first-class disciplines of ethnology and ecology formed a group of lecturers for science popularization. They went to Kunming city, Dai autonomous prefecture of Xishuangbanna, and Baoshan city in Yunnan province, and Zigong city in Sichuan province to provide door-to-door science popularization services for young people and boost the "double reduction" work.
