Yunnan University appointed national excellent research unit

The Youth League Committee of Yunnan University, or YNU, was recently appointed an Excellent Research Unit for "Science and Technology and Information on Health in the Countryside" in 2022 – and the student team at the School of Government Management of the university was also recognized as an Excellent Research Team.

In recent years, the university – located in Kunming, capital of China's Southwest Yunnan province – has built up a long-term practical education cooperation mechanism. The research activities of the university during the summer vacation in 2021, winter vacation in 2022 and summer vacation in 2022 have won national recognition many times.

In June 2021, Professor Deng Song of the School of Government Management called on 53 teachers and students to apply for a key project called "Science and Technology and Information on Health in the Countryside," to do rural vitalization research.

During last summer vacation, they went to a number of prefectures, towns and villages in Yunnan province to carry out field research. Based on this, they wrote the work Research on Yunnan Digital Villages and Smart Capacity Improvement Based on Big Data. They then applied for permission to conduct five subject cases and to produce four academic papers.

In June this year, the School of Government Management again applied to undertake key projects – to conduct research through a "Digital Yunnan" construction quality comprehensive survey and a poverty return risk survey in ethnic minority areas. It then carried out a series of field research, before winning the appellation.
