Company donates spring water to Yunnan University

Mineral water producer and bottler Yunnan Jiaozi Snow Mountain Water Industry Co on Oct 20 donated customized drinking water worth 240,000 yuan ($33,178) to Yunnan University, or YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – to celebrate its upcoming centennial anniversary.

Jiaozi mountain spring water was the designated drinking water for the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity in 2020 as well as the sixth China-South Asia Exposition and the 26th China Kunming Import and Export Fair this year.

The company is located in Yunnan Jiaozi Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve, 4,223 meters above sea level, an area with a vegetation coverage rate of 95 percent and few people around the water source.

In this pollution-free environment, the water quality of the company has been tested by the national authoritative testing institute and found to be rich in a variety of minerals and trace elements indispensable to the human body. Low sodium, low tritium, a low temperature and low mineralization are the highlights of the spring water there.

At the donation ceremony, Li Xingwei, chairman of company, introduced their entrepreneurial history, development history, business layout and public welfare achievements.

Hu Jianfeng, secretary general of the Education Foundation of Yunnan University, thanked the company on behalf of the university.
