Special tea donated to Yunnan University

A tea donation ceremony in celebration of the centenary of Yunnan University in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province, was held at the university's Chenggong Campus on Nov 7, 2022.

The tea, with a market value of 1 million yuan ($145,330), was donated by Menghai Fuhai Tea Co.

Before the donation ceremony, Yang Xinyuan, chairman of the company, visited the campus to learn about the university's development.

At the ceremony, Yang said Yunnan University has made important contributions to education in Yunnan and China over the past century, and that Yunnan is a center of tea production. In celebration of the upcoming centenary of Yunnan University, the company designed two commemorative tea products to donate to the university.

Chen Keqing, vice president of Yunnan University, and Yang signed the donation agreement on behalf of the two parties and presented a donation certificate to Yang.

Menghai Fuhai Tea Co was founded in 1983 and has developed into a Pu'er tea production enterprise integrating planting, production, processing and sales, with an annual production scale of 1,500 metric tons.
