The National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences on Nov 29 announced the list of projects at the late research stage in 2022 to be funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the NSFC.
Six were approved from Yunnan University, or YNU, located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province.
That's a record for YNU since the national office set up the program in 2004.
Of these, one is key project with a subsidy of 350,000 yuan ($49,594), while the others are general projects, attracting support of 250,000 yuan each.
The approved disciplines included management, theoretical economics applied economics, Chinese history and Chinese literature.
NSFC subsidies mainly support outstanding scientific research achievements that are 80 percent complete and have not yet been published in the basic research field of humanities and the social sciences.
The aim is to encourage philosophy and social science researchers to make the effort to undertake top work with academic inheritance and innovation value.
