After seven months of fierce competition, Yunnan University won five silver medals and six bronze medals at the eighth China International College Students "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, a record amount for the university and more than any other university in Southwest China's Yunnan province.
A total of 7,278 teachers and students from Yunnan University have participated in the competition, bringing with them 1,608 projects.
Through a university-level preliminary contest, provincial semi-final, and final online evaluation, 11 excellent projects from the university were qualified for national final to be held from Nov 10-13.
This also marks the first time that an innovation and entrepreneurship project has made it to the final in the industrial proposition category.
Yunnan University attaches great importance to the organization and project cultivation for the "internet+" contest. Since April, the university has given full play to the advantages of entrepreneurial tutors and made every effort to promote the optimization and cultivation of projects.
Moving forward, the university will continue to improve the "education-participation-cultivation-incubation" educational system and strive to cultivate talent with strong critical thinking, perspective, and creativity.
