Li Mingkang, Lin Yiquan and Wu Xiaomeng, students at the School of Software of Yunnan University, recently participated in the 47th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Regional Programming Contest Jinan Site and won the bronze award.

This is the second time that the ICPC training team of Yunnan University has won the bronze award at the Asian regional event since 2020.

After the School of Software won the ICPC competition in 2020, Yunnan University helped students from different majors to establish the ICPC training team of Yunnan University, which provided laboratories, training venues and other facilities, creating a conducive learning and competition environment for the team.

The ICPC is sponsored by the Association for Computer Machinery, a well-known international computer science community, aiming to demonstrate and improve the ability of college students to use computer analysis and problem solving.

The competition began in 1970 and has developed into the world's most influential college student programming competition, known as the "Olympics of Computing".

In recent years, the school has increased its support for the student discipline competition system to cultivate students' innovation ability and professional application ability.

All members of the ICPC training team of Yunnan University will strive to perform even better at future ICPC competitions.
