Fudian Bank signed a cooperation agreement with Yunnan University at its Chenggong Campus and donated scholarships to the university – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – on Dec 16.

At the signing ceremony, Lin Wenxun, secretary of the Party committee of Yunnan University, praised the partners.

Lin said Fudian Bank was a long-established bank with a history of 110 years and Yunnan University has been funded by the bank since the university was established in 1923.

Now, as Yunnan University is about to celebrate its centennial in 2023, Fudian and Yunnan University have signed a strategic cooperation agreement again and established the "Fudian Bank Scholarship". This is said to highlight the enduring friendship between Fudian and Yunnan University.

Dai Jun, chairman of Fudian Bank Co, told the signing ceremony that today's Yunnan University was a humanistic and blessed land for Yunnan province.

He hoped the two sides would deepen their cooperation and jointly build a cradle for training financial talent.

The bank announced at the event it was setting up a Fudian Bank Training Center at the College of Vocational and Continuing Education of Yunnan University. At the same time, the bank was appointed as a Yunnan University Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Internship Practice Base.
