WeChat applet for 100th Anniversary of YNU goes online

The WeChat app, the "100th Anniversary of the founding of Yunnan University," was recently launched to great fanfare.

It is expected that alumni around the world of Yunnan University, or YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – will rally to focus on the 100th year of their alma mater.

Three modules are included in the WeChat app. They include the university anniversary guide, an invitation to return to the university, a university anniversary newsletter and a university anniversary donation form. There's also a cloud group photo, a cloud blessing and cloud exhibition – as well as a school day service and personal center.

The launch of the app is said to have created a great platform for teachers, students, alumni and people from all walks of life to pay attention to the centennial anniversary of YNU – making contact more convenient and communications more efficient.

Alumni can scan the QR code to enter the app and experience its various functional modules.
