Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University sees bright future

The Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University held its 2023 work conference from Jan 28 to 29.

The year 2023 marks the centenary of the founding of Yunnan University in 1923 – located in Kunming, in Southwest China's Yunnan province. It also marks the 95th anniversary of the founding of the hospital, which is seen as being of great significance for promoting its development.

The conference invited Gao Huabin, deputy director of the Yunnan Province Center of Medical Service Quality Assessment, to give a training session entitled "High-Quality Development Strategy and Practice of Public Hospitals".

It looked at subjects including medical quality, service capacity, discipline development, operation efficiency, sustainable development and satisfaction evaluations.

Wei Jia, president of the hospital, presented a work report from three aspects: the basic operations data of the hospital; the work of treatment, education, research and prevention; existing difficulties and the challenges presented by new tasks.

He proposed the hospital benchmark itself against leading domestic medical institutions and build on its core competitiveness.

Participants at the event put forward suggestions that clinical and medical technology departments focus on weaknesses, challenges, bottlenecks, hospital priorities and other issues in combination with the actual situation in the departments.
