April 20 marks the 100th anniversary of Yunnan University – located in Kunming city, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – and on the day, national postal system operator China Post Group Co will issue a set of commemorative stamps entitled The Centenary of Yunnan University.

On March 16, a printing ceremony for the set of stamps was held at the premises of the printers, the Beijing Stamp Factory Co. Gu Jun, vice general manager of the postal business department of China Post and Chen Keqing, vice president of Yunnan University, attended the ceremony.

The illustration on the stamp is of the Huize Academy, the representative building of Yunnan University, surmounted by the university's emblem.
Beijing Stamp Factory Co will customize a special ink to add to the overall historical sense of stamps.
Under fluorescent lights, the image of the building on the stamp will glow red, symbolizing the heritage of Yunnan University and its vitality as it embarks on a new century-long journey.
