A China-Myanmar undergraduate academic seminar was held online on March 17. It was jointly organized by the Journalism School of Yunnan University and the Journalism Department of the Myanmar Institute of Government Management.

Ni Lar Myint Htoo, president of the Myanmar Institute of Government Management, thanked Yunnan University for its support in teaching, research and platform building. She hopes that the two sides will continue to work together in the future.

The theme of this seminar was "Journalism in the Digital Age".

During the seminar, the students from the Journalism Department of the Myanmar Institute of Government Management reported on "The evolution of newspapers in Myanmar", "Radio broadcasting services in Myanmar" and "Television channels in Myanmar", respectively.

Students from the Journalism School of Yunnan University shared three topics at the seminar: How do Chinese youths get news? Does television still have a future? Will artificial intelligence replace human news anchors?

The two sides also discussed the similarities and differences in media use between Chinese and Myanmar graduates in the digital era. They also spoke of professional capacity building and responsibility as future media communicators.

As an international platform for academic and cultural exchanges for undergraduates in the two countries, the seminar promoted cooperation and innovation between the two sides.
