Ginkgo souvenirs made by students for YNU alumni

To welcome the centennial anniversary in the current year of Yunnan University, or YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest Yunnan province – something special was done recently.

To strengthen the close bond between students, the YNU alumni association and the YNU alumni, an activity to make ginkgo souvenirs was held in Donglu Campus and at the Chenggong Campus of the university on Nov 8-22.                     

Students participating in the activity made souvenirs for alumni at home and abroad with the indigenous ginkgo tree used as the main material.

A total of 454 ginkgo works and 1,500 ginkgo bookmarks were collected. These will be sent to YNU alumni at home and abroad through various activities of the alumni association.

Volunteers from the university alumni association selected the ginkgo works and a total of 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes and 30 third prizes were awarded.
