Special attire designed for 100-year-old Yunnan University

To celebrate the centenary anniversary of the founding of Yunnan University – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – a special graduation outfit was recently issued.

It was designed and produced by He Hongxiao, an alumna who majored in art design at university, who has 20 years of work experience in the field of fashion design.

The design consists of a hat, tassel, robe and drape. It features black as the main tone, highlighting the solemnity and dignity of the occasion.

The remaining color scheme is based on royal blue, the symbol of the university, as well as the golden leaves of the indigenous ginkgo tree, another motif symbolizing Yunnan University.

The embroidery with golden gingko leaves around the hat and cuffs is the finishing touch to the outfit.
