Friendly matches lift spirits of Cambodian, YNU teams

A series of friendly matches between the Cambodian national teams and teams from Yunnan University, or YNU – were held on April 6 at the university's campus in Kunming city, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province.

Nearly 70 athletes from the Cambodian men's basketball team, women's volleyball team and women's soccer team visited the university.

At the men's basketball court, the two teams of players showed consummate skills, winning the frequent applause of spectators.

In the women's soccer competition, the Cambodian team won over the Yunnan University team. In the women's volleyball competition, YNU won all three matches.

The friendlies are widely said to have boosted the sports culture of the university, showcased the sportsmanship of the Chinese and visitors, as well as promoted exchanges among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
