Mini marathon injects vitality into YNU's centennial anniversary

Yunnan University's "Celebrating the Centennial" Campus Mini Marathon kicked off on Chenggong Campus on April 16.

Nearly 2,000 athletes, more than 350 volunteers, and over 200 staff members gathered in the stadium.

The event consisted of two 6.5-kilometer mini marathons – one for men and one for women. The elevation of the route was about 70 meters.

The race started and finished at the north gate of the Chenggong Campus, passing by Zehu Lake, West Gate, the library, Zhongshan Banghan Building, Wendian Square, the history museum and other landmark buildings of Yunnan University.

Before the competition, teachers and students of the School of Physical Education gave a series of martial arts performances, thrilling the contestants.
