A mutual selection fair for graduates in Southwest China's Yunnan province and a special jobs fair for Yunnan University or YNU was held on May 16 in the Chenggong Campus of the university – located in Kunming, capital city of the region.
Some 181 top companies and institutions from 14 provinces and municipality cities – including Yunnan, Sichuan, Hubei, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces as well as Shanghai and Beijing – attended.
Among them, 28 central and State-owned enterprises, 11 public institutions and 142 top private companies offered 4,241 jobs for graduates.
The employers covered a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, education, information transmissions, software and information technology services, construction, wholesale and retail, scientific research and technical services.
Overall, nearly 4,000 graduates of Yunnan's universities and colleges headed in to apply for jobs and more than 5,000 resumes were sent out.
More than 800 folks got job offers.
