Yunnan University shows up at intl computer conference

The 26th International Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work in Design, undertaken by the School of Software of Yunnan University, was held in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, from May 24 to 26. This is one of the major international academic conferences in collaborative computing.

The conference in Kunming was held in conjunction with the sub-conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

A grand gathering of intellectual minds took place, attracting over 370 distinguished scholars and researchers from various corners of the globe. Hailing from China, France, Canada, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, these esteemed individuals convened to engage in deep discussions regarding cutting-edge research findings and emerging trends within the realm of collaborative computing. Their insightful deliberations extended to encompass collaborative technology methods, collaborative industrial manufacturing, and other digitalization fields.

At the conference, four professors were specially invited to give academic reports, providing valuable academic inspiration and ideas for the participants.

Among them, Fan Wenfei, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, deeply discussed cutting-edge research in collaborative computing. Yang Chunsheng, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, shared the challenges and opportunities of the third wave of AI.

Professor Myriam Lewkowicz of Troy University shared his vision for deep digital reform under Promoting the Diversity of Digital Technologies. Professor Cristina Garcia of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro wrote the book The Good, The Bad, and The Ethical: Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Automatic Decision-making, which discusses the influence of large models on technology ethics.

The conference served as a catalyst for fostering development and driving innovation in the field of collaborative computing. It not only facilitated the exchange of knowledge and ideas but also played a pivotal role in elevating the influence of Yunnan University in international organizations. By hosting this esteemed gathering, Yunnan University positioned itself as a leading force in the field of collaborative computing on the global stage.
