Yunnan University to strive for next 100 years

Yunnan University held a meeting on June 12 to celebrate and reflect on its 100th anniversary.

Leaders, representatives of teachers, students, and volunteers, and all staff members of the university celebration office of Yunnan University attended the meeting.

Fang Jingyun, president of Yunnan University, made a keynote speech. Fang pointed out that with the support and help of the Ministry of Education, the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government, and leaders at all levels of society, and with the joint efforts of all teachers, students and alumni, the 100th anniversary of Yunnan University has been a complete success.

Fang pointed out that the university has held a series of colorful activities to mark this milestone and highlight some of its achievements. The author summarized the results of key activities, the strong collaboration between the university and the school, enthusiastic donations from alumni at all walks of life, and the continuous expansion of its influential activities.

He urged all teachers and students to keep promoting the construction of "first-class disciplines and universities" to help YNU achieve even higher quality development. 

In addition, Fang pointed out that the 100th anniversary is a testament to its past. He hoped that all people at the university would contribute to support its future development and the construction of a powerful national education system.
