The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023 of Yunnan University was grandly held at the Chenggong campus on June 16. The ceremony is celebrated for the 9,014 graduates who will embark on a new life chapter.
As part of the Class of 2023, these graduates have witnessed significant historical moments of the university, including the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC. They have also experienced the university's selection in the "first-class universities and disciplines" and celebrated its 100th founding anniversary.

During the graduation ceremony, the university's president, Fang Jingyun, congratulated all the graduates and offered three pieces of advice: to hold onto their dreams while staying grounded, persevere and strive for self-improvement, be bold in action, and produce good results.
Fang mentioned that Yunnan University has already passed a glorious century, and what it is most proud of in its 100-year history is that over 300,000 students have graduated from here.

During the exciting degree awarding part of the ceremony, members of the university's degree committee went on stage to set the tassels straight and gave degrees to graduates.
After the graduates sang the university song, the graduation ceremony came to a close.
