Yunnan University stages unforgettable ethnic concert

The 2023 Ethnic Concert of Yunnan University was staged on its Chenggong Campus on June 13. More than 1,100 audience members enjoyed this feast of Chinese instrumental music.

The performers were all students from the Chinese Orchestra of Yunnan University Student Art Troupe. They performed works that adhered to the spirit of national unity, and adapted and interpreted a number of works of classical Chinese music.

An interactive session was also set up to explain more about Chinese musical instruments, in the middle of the performance. The orchestra conductor and the performing students introduced the characteristics of some of the instruments used in the concert, giving spectators a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture while they reveled to the sounds of Chinese music.
