Yunnan University thanks volunteer teaching team for job well done

The departure ceremony for the 25th Yunnan University graduate student volunteer teaching team was held at the university's Chenggong Campus on June 27.

Some 25 members of the team will leave in July for one year of volunteer teaching in Dulongjiang township of Nujiang Lisu autonomous prefecture, Boshang and Lushi towns in Lincang city, and Guangnan county in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao autonomous prefecture.

At the ceremony, Wu Jiande, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Yunnan University, also praised the performance of previous members of the graduate student volunteer teaching team.

He then expressed his expectations for the new members, hoping they will make full use of the year ahead to put in a sterling performance as volunteer teachers.

Zheng Lingdan, head of the current team, reported on the special training they had received. Other members of the team said they would carry forward the collaborative spirit of Yunnan University and do their utmost to make impactful contributions to the front line of teaching.
