Yunnan University researches grass, forest with provincial bureau

Yunnan Forestry and Grassland Bureau signed a cooperation agreement with Yunnan University on June 27. In the next five years, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in science and technology innovation, platform construction, scientific research, and personnel training for the high-quality development of forests and grass.

According to the agreement, the two sides will actively conduct joint construction and sharing work.

Both parties have expressed their mutual interest in furthering their scientific research collaboration in a variety of fields, including but not limited to vegetation resource survey, sustainable utilization of plant resources and dual-carbon strategy, typical fragile ecosystems, wetland protection and restoration, ecological security, protection of rare and endangered species, and forest and grass industry technology development. Additionally, they have made plans to establish a field observation station and enhance the conservation and management of protected natural areas.

In addition, they are expected to jointly train talents and support each other in transforming and applying scientific and technological achievements.
