Yunnan University prepares for students' military training

A mobilization ceremony for the military training of the Class of 2022 undergraduate students of Yunnan University was held at its Chenggong Campus on July 10. Another mobilization ceremony was held on the Donglu Campus on July 11.

More than 4,200 students will participate in the training at the two campuses. The student military training corps consists of three battalions. The trained students of 18 colleges at the Chenggong Campus are organized into the first and second battalions, while the students of five colleges at the Donglu Campus are organized into the third battalion.

After the start of the military training, a series of exercises will be carried out, including small arms shooting, evacuation drills, firefighting exercises, first aid mutual rescue, and psychological development.

The purpose of this military training is not only to improve students' physical fitness, but more importantly to enhance their concept of national defense.
