Yunnan University secures eight awards for innovative sci-tech projects

The 2022 Yunnan Science and Technology Award Conference was held in Kunming on July 18.

At the conference, Wu Jiande, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Yunnan University, spoke on behalf of the winners and the project of "complete equipment and intelligent control system for solid, liquid separation of fine particle slurry" – led by Yunnan University and Wu participated – won the first prize of Yunnan Province Science and Technology Progress Award.

Wu shared feelings and experiences: scientific research workers should be oriented to serve the significant needs of national and regional economic and social development; organized scientific research is the key to today's scientific breakthroughs; talent is the foundation of scientific research.

At the conference, the project led by Yunnan University won eight awards, including two first prizes, four-second prizes, and two third prizes.

Moving forward, Yunnan University is set to continue to strengthen scientific research, comprehensively improve education, and build a world-class university.
