The 21st National Academic Conference on Catalysis was held in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on July 21-25.
Hosted by the Catalysis Society of China, the conference was co-organized by Yunnan University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Yunnan Precious Metals Laboratory, and others.
Wang Jiaqiang, a professor from Yunnan University, served as the conference's chairperson. More than 3,700 experts, scholars, and young students from domestic universities, research institutes, and industries participated in the conference.

Zhou Xuebin, Party secretary of Yunnan University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhou briefly introduced the history and development of Yunnan University and its chemistry discipline. He thanked the experts, scholars, and cooperating institutions for their support and assistance. He welcomed the representatives and guests to continue to care for, support, and help in the construction and development of Yunnan University.
A total of 2,365 submissions were received and reviewed by experts organized by the committee of the conference. Among them, 369 papers were presented at the conference, and 1,002 posters were exhibited.
