Yunnan University achieves exemplary achievements in project evaluation

The National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the evaluation results of accepted projects on Aug 24. Among the projects, 159 projects of Yunnan University were approved, with 62.86 million yuan ($8.62 million) of funds, maintaining the double improvement of the number and quality of approved projects.

The College of Ecology and Environment and the College of Earth Sciences of Yunnan University made outstanding contributions. At the same time, the State Key Laboratory for Conversation and Utilization of Bio-resources in Yunnan made significant progress compared with the previous year.

This year, in the background of continuous competitiveness enhancement of national projects evaluation, the number of approved projects of Yunnan University maintained steady growth, the project structure was continuously optimized, and the university achieved the best results in the past year.

Yunnan University has vigorously implemented the "develop academic to revive the university," continuously strengthened the foundation of basic research and developed scientific research work.
