Students from YNU's Confucius institutes win awards at Chinese Bridge contest

The final of the 22nd "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition for World College Students – sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation – was held at Guangxi Radio and Television Station on Sept 2.

Students from the Confucius institutes jointly established by Yunnan University (YNU) and universities in Iran and Bangladesh picked up various prizes.

Among them, Liang Liang, a student from the Confucius Institute of the University of Tehran in Iran, won the Best Eloquence Award; Wang Yali, who studies at the Confucius Institute of North South University in Bangladesh, pocketed the Outstanding Eloquence Award.

Since 2002, the "Chinese Bridge" competition has been held to promote Chinese culture, enhance people's understanding of China, and promote exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries in the political, economic, cultural and educational fields.
