Yunnan University (YNU) issued a notice to visitors on Sept 3 that its campus would be open to visitors from 8:30 am to 5 pm daily.
Under the premise of ensuring normal teaching and scientific research operations as well as an orderly life on campus, Yunnan University is opening its campus to the public and is not charging any fees to institutions or individuals for visiting.
In case of important events or extreme weather conditions, the campus opening may be suspended.
The campus is divided into an open area and a non-open area. Office buildings, teaching buildings, scientific research buildings, laboratories and student dormitories are included in the non-open area.
Online real-name booking is being implemented for the campus visits, and the "Pingan Yunda" WeChat applet is the only official platform for booking visits to the campus of Yunnan University.
After the real-name booking is successful, that person should enter the campus through the footpath by the campus gate with their original ID card. Facial-recognition technology is also in use.
Yunnan University prohibits any institution or individual from illegally bringing people into the campus to visit, and prohibits visitors from holding speeches, flash mobs and other activities on campus.
At the same time, people who carry pets, use fake or forged certificates belonging to other people, or who refuse to show a valid certificate or ID are prohibited from entering the campus.
