Yunnan University arms freshmen with military skills

The summary conference for military skills training of undergraduate students from the Class of 2023 at Yunnan University was held on its Chenggong Campus on Sept 16.

University cadres, military training instructors and 4,457 students attended the conference.

It revealed the names of the outstanding students during military training, the most excellent instructors, and the winners of the competitions in tactical subjects.

Later, the audience sang Yunnan University's official anthem, marking the successful conclusion of this year's 21-day military training for undergraduate students.

The university trained students in such areas as small arms simulation shooting, combat basics, and battlefield medical aid. Knowledge lectures on topics of national defense were also conducted, along with competitions featuring tactical subjects.
