Yunnan University Affiliated Hospital aids medical development in county

The signing and award ceremony of the Gu Zhen Expert Team Workstation at the Neurosurgery Department of the Yunnan University Affiliated Hospital was held at the Yunxian County People's Hospital in Lincang city on Sept 15.

According to Shi Ling, president of the Yunxian County People's Hospital, the establishment of this workstation would improve the hospital's diagnosis and treatment capabilities for neuro-intervention, promote local talent training and discipline development, and enhance local medical services.

During the ceremony, expert Gu Zhen expressed hope that the hospital could leverage the workstation to promote the training of talent in neuro-intervention, improve scientific research and diagnostic levels in Yunxian county, and extend high-quality medical resources to the grassroots level.

Following the ceremony, Gu Zhen and other experts in related fields gave lectures and diagnosed difficult diseases at the Yunxian County People's Hospital.

It has been reported that there are currently 72 medical expert team workstations in Yunxian Medical Community, which are meant to promote the integration of local medical resources and improve medical service capacity at the county and township levels.

Renowned hospitals such as the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in Chang city, the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were among the medical community.
