The opening ceremony for freshmen from the Class of 2023 at Yunnan University was held in Wendian Square of its Chenggong Campus on Sept 23. Attendees included university cadres and all of this year's 9,666 freshmen, as well as their counselors.
Before the ceremony opened, the university's art troupe performed a warm-up performance. The ceremony then began with the raising of the national flag and the playing of the national anthem.
