Yunnan University holds job fair for graduating class of 2024

Yunnan University held a large-scale job fair for the 2024 graduating class at its Chenggong campus in Kunming, the capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on Oct 27. A total of 334 high-quality enterprises and institutions participated in the recruitment event, with 11,754 job positions on offer. More than 6,500 graduates attended in search of employment opportunities.

Employers came from 14 provinces and cities, including Sichuan, Zhejiang and Beijing. The employing industries represented at the fair included construction, manufacturing, education, public administration, social security and social organizations, information transmission, software and information technology services, wholesale and retail, finance, and others.

As a national base for enhancing college students' employment capabilities, Yunnan University welcomed 140 students from four participating colleges –Yunnan Minzu University, Yuxi Normal University, Baoshan University, and Baoshan Traditional Chinese Medicine College.

Yunnan University also covered the students' transportation and accommodation costs, and provided on-site guidance.

Preliminary statistics indicate that more than 20,000 resumes were submitted by graduates during the event, with 3,000 agreements of intent signed.

Yunnan University will continue to offer follow-up services and tracking efforts to assist graduates and employers in reaching agreements, while also promoting more comprehensive and higher-quality employment opportunities for the graduates.
