The "International Chinese Education Training Camp for Future Communicators in South and Southeast Asia" program for international students at Yunnan University's School of Journalism and Communication recently kicked off in Chengjiang county, Yuxi city, Southwest China's Yunnan province.
The event ran under the banner, "Experiencing Yunnan with Friends from Countries Involved in the Belt and Road Initiative".
During the program, international students from Yunnan University visited the Chengjiang Fossil Site World Natural Heritage Museum, Chengjiang's Agricultural Cultural and Tourism Demonstration Base, the Fuxian Lake Sailing Base, and other hot spots. They engaged in extensive exchanges and discussions related to scientific research and cultural integration.
"At the Chengjiang Fossil Site World Natural Heritage Museum I learned about the fascinating history of the origin of life, and discovered the charm of biodiversity, which broadened my horizons," said a Vietnamese student.
Cultural exchange is an essential part of the Belt and Road Initiative. This trip allowed international students to connect with nature and history, experience Chinese culture, and further promote cross-cultural exchanges.
