Yunnan University founds digital economy alliance

The founding ceremony for the Yunnan University Digital Economy Collaborative Innovation Alliance and the Yunnan University Digital Economy Development Forum was held at Yunnan University in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on Nov 3.

Scholars, experts, overseas returnees from Chinese universities and businesses gathered at YNU to collectively discuss methods and pathways to promote the development of the digital economy in the province.

During the event, the Yunnan Provincial Digital Economy Development Zone and YNU signed a cooperation agreement for the establishment of a base for returned overseas folks that are serving the country.

The founding of the Yunnan University Digital Economy Collaborative Innovation Alliance was officially announced and industry mentors were presented with appointment certificates.

Participants then engaged in academic discussions on topics such as the interdisciplinary integration of disciplines and collaborative innovation between government, industry, education and research institutions.

This was to help promote the development of the digital economy, as well as the opportunities and challenges in the development of the digital economy in Yunnan.
