Confucius educators from Slovakia, Czech Republic visit Yunnan University

A delegation of educators from the Confucius Institutes at the Comenius University in Slovakia and the Confucius Classroom at the University of Pardubice in the Czech Republic visited Yunnan University in Southwest China's Yunnan province on Nov 2 to engage in discussions and exchanges regarding cooperation and development of their respective Confucius Institutes. 

Wu Yun, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office who also serves as director of the Confucius Institute Office at Yunnan University, provided an introduction to Yunnan University's internationalization efforts and the related field of international Chinese education, at the symposium.

Representatives from the two visiting universities, as well as the heads of their respective Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms, presented their universities' educational histories, strengths in various academic fields, and the development of their Confucius Institutes (Classrooms).

Following these introductions, the three parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as international Chinese education, overseas internship programs for students, and cultural exchange activities.

They all expressed hope of expanding their cooperation channels through initiatives like the "Chinese+" program and the establishment of overseas internship platforms.

These efforts aim to promote the integration and innovative development of international Chinese education and related disciplines, ultimately assisting in the local cultivation of more Chinese professionals in the education field.
