Yunnan University to co-build branch of mutant mice center

The Animal Research and Resource Center of Yunnan University and the National Resource Center for Mutant Mice of Nanjing University signed a strategic cooperation and sharing agreement on Dec 1, officially establishing the Southwest Branch Center of National Resource Center for Mutant Mice.

This marks a significant milestone in the development of Yunnan University's Animal Research and Resource Center, signifying notable progress in the field of experimental animal resource sharing and biomedical research.

With the approval of this collaboration, the Animal Research and Resource Center will actively cooperate with major domestic universities, research institutes, hospitals, and enterprises. They aim to provide high-quality mice resources and services, contributing to innovative developments in the fields of life sciences and pharmaceutical research.

The National Resource Center for Mutant Mice is a national scientific and technological resource-sharing service platform that integrates resource preservation and supply, disease model creation and development, and training of talents in the field of experimental animal research and international exchanges. It is one of seven national-level experimental animal resource repositories.

It aims to address the needs of national biomedical innovation and development by providing services such as resource collection and preservation, open sharing and services, as well as common technology research and development. Likewise, it seeks to promote international exchange and cooperation in these areas.
