YNU hosts forums on communication, academia

The Information and Communication Frontier Technology Forum (2023) and the Donglu High-level Academic Forum were held at the Chenggong Campus of Yunnan University on Nov 18.

The forums were co-organized by Yunnan University in Kunming, the capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, and the editorial department of the Journal of Communications.

Zhang Ping, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a report titled Modern Semantic Communication and Practice at the Donglu High-level Academic Forum.

Presentations were also given by Professor Shen Lianfeng from Southeast University, Professor Ma Jianfeng from Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, as well as Professor Huang Ming and Associate Professors Chen Zhe and Liu Xilong from Yunnan University.

At the two events, experts and scholars from various domestic universities discussed fundamental theories, scientific issues, cutting-edge technologies, technical challenges, and innovative ideas in the fields of information and communication.

They also explored the path and methods for building Journal of Communications into a world-class academic journal.

During the two forums, the 10th Editorial Board's Third Working Meeting of Journal of Communications was also held.
