The grand national finals of the China International College Students Innovation Competition 2023 were held at Tianjin University in Tianjin municipality on Dec 6, featuring the Youth Chasing Red Spirit Track and the University Main Track.
Yunnan University's participating team achieved two gold, one silver, and eight bronze awards in the national finals.

A total of 4.21 million projects from 5,296 colleges in 151 countries and regions were registered for the competition, surpassing 10,000,000 participants again. Ultimately, 1,260 projects advanced to the national finals.
In this national finals, Yunnan University secured two gold awards in the Youth Chasing Red Spirit Track for both projects it entered. These projects were titled "Promoting Rural Vitalization through a Succulent-based Industry-Education-Research Integration Model" and "Making Art a New Engine for Rural Transformation".
The project "Phosphorus Carbon Future – Leader in the Green Building Materials Industry of Phosphogypsum" won a silver award in the undergraduate creative group of the University Main Track.
Since the launch of the Yunnan University-level competition on March 23, the university actively mobilized students to participate in training in various high-quality projects. A total of 10,429 individuals registered for the university-level competition, submitting 1,428 project proposals.
