As part of the series of forums commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Tourism Management Program at Yunnan University (YNU), the Consumer-Driven High-Quality Development Summit took place at the Donglu Campus of the university on Dec 17.

Over 150 experts, scholars, faculty, students, and alumni from across China gathered to discuss the potential tourism consumption scenarios and the high-quality development of the tourism industry in Yunnan.
Liao Lianzhong, vice president of Yunnan University, and Yin Xiangdong, vice president and secretary-general of the China Consumption Economics Society, delivered speeches at the forum's opening ceremony.

The summit featured roundtable discussions on the "Construction of Cross-Border Tourism Consumption Scenarios in Hub Cities" and "Tourism Consumption to Achieve a Better Life".
In addition, five parallel forums were organized with topics such as "Tourism Consumption and Economic Development", "Ecotourism and Green Consumption", and "New Tourism Consumption Models".
At another parallel forum, over 50 young scholars and graduate students from dozens of universities and research institutions engaged in discussions and exchanges.
