YNU alumnus' enterprise listed in 2024 Candy Hall of Fame

Ma Enduo, chairman of Shenzhen Amos Food Group, was nominated by the National Confectioners Association (NCA) to be inducted into the 2024 Candy Hall of Fame on Dec 9. Ma is the first Chinese citizen ever nominated for this prestigious award.

This honor reflects the recognition of Amos Food's contributions to the candy industry and holds significance for the global development of the Chinese candy industry.

The Candy Hall of Fame, often referred to as the "Oscars" of the candy industry worldwide, aims to honor individuals who have dedicated decades to the confectionery business, making outstanding contributions to the industry and society throughout their careers.

Ma graduated from the School of Economics and Foreign Trade at Yunnan University (YNU) in 1993. In 2004, he founded Shenzhen Amos Food Group, and has been deeply involved in the candy industry for 20 years. The group owns sub-brands such as Amos creative candies and Biobor nutritional functional candies.

In recent years, Amos Food has implemented a brand globalization strategy, and its products are currently available in over 50 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia. It stands as one of the few Chinese candy brands in mainstream markets in Japan and the United States.

In addition to his business achievements, Ma has been actively participating in social welfare activities, including supporting economically disadvantaged students at his alma mater, as well as orphans and children in mountainous areas in Shenzhen.

He also holds important social positions, such as vice president of the Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce and president of the Shenzhen Alumni Association of Yunnan University.

The 2024 Candy Hall of Fame awards ceremony is set to take place in the latter half of next year in Orlando, Florida.
