The "Yuanshang Lezuo Rice" project, one of the collaborative projects between Honghe and the school, aims to build a specialized information platform that releases information to attract agricultural laborers in Yuanyang county. Farmers will plant red rice on terraced fields and create the "Lezuo Rice" red rice brand, which will promote the development of the red rice planting industry.
At the same time, the implementation of this project will help increase the income of farmers in Yuanyang, promote the agriculture modernization of Hani terraced fields, as well as facilitate the preservation of farming techniques and ethnic culture.
During the signing ceremony, participants engaged in in-depth discussions about the "Yuanshang Lezuo Rice" project, including the project's background and overview, its implementation plan, its promotion strategy, and its future development.
Over the last 20 years, many doctoral students and faculty from the school have conducted experiments and written papers and works based on experimental data from the Yuanyang farmlands, which has contributed to the protection and development of Hani terraced fields.
